REMINDER – 24 HOUR RULE
If you got the part you wanted, celebrate! YES, CELEBRATE YOURSELF! Because you work hard and you deserve to celebrate this moment! Then… get to work. Yes—it’s amazing to get the role of your dreams, but it is also a lot of hard work. We expect you to show up to rehearsals prepared and ready to work.
If you didn’t get the part you wanted, allow yourself one day to feel disappointed. ONE DAY. When this happens to me I pout, I cry, I go shopping, I go over all the reasons why I should be (insert role I wanted here) in this show. I allow myself to go through all the ugly emotions I have. I allow myself to just be. Then I get over it. Yes—you’re allowed to be disappointed, but you are not allowed to wallow in self-pity. It stunts growth. Find a positive outcome of the situation, and focus on that. Trust me, you will be a much happier and healthier person.
We are SO EXCITED about this show. We have so many creative ideas and look forward to seeing you at rehearsal next week. This was a very hard show to cast, but we are really excited with the outcome.
