Selecting audition music is a critical part of your production experience. Our students generally work with their vocal instructors to assemble a repertoire of songs that is appropriate for the student’s age, range, and style. We think it’s important to understand how to select music, how your selection affects your directors’ idea of what character you might play, and how to build a varied repertoire that effectively showcases your unique talent.

We understand, of course, that sometimes you need extra practice or want to play around with some musical possibilities. Don’t be afraid to speak up with your instructors about what you want to try!
